India Project Day 4,5,6,7,8 and 9
Day 4
Seems like architecture here not so wow. Especially the residential buildings. I noticed that they really like to put textures on the facade wall. The used bay window a lot. And there's something unique about the residential buildings here. They like to name their house and put the name on the front boundary wall.
travelling around is good for us to know people habits. I found out that handspray for the toilet is a must here. In Singapore public toilet only provide toilet paper.
Today we were quite busy with the project so nothing much I can tell about today's activity.
Day 5
Today we were visiting some hotels in Bangalore for our references. We went to see Chandra Residence, Fortune Hotel and Monarch Luxury. We pretend as guest and asked to view the rooms. I found that the interior of the hotel quite similar one to each others. Maybe they prefer save design rather than the fresh ones. So me&Zul thinks it won't be problem to for designwise. We confident that we can give better design to Pawan (hopefully)
We manage to finish the sketches for all the floor plan. It was really not an easy things to do, because this is not a new building project. But I really take it as a challange. It's fun!
We had Pizza Hut for lunch. Pawan took us to the nearest Pizza Hut from his office. The Pizza Hut here, they have Cheezy Bite, it was so nice and quite cheap too, it's only 99rupees/person (S$3) for the very filling meals.
After lunch, we got back to our hotel to start to convert all the sketches into CAD drawings. Zul did the existing drawings, while I did the proposal drawings.
Day 6
Today we've been cheated by the young lady receptionist at the hotel. we asked her to print some documents and she charged us 40rupees per page. The ridicoulus part is she purposely put our 640 rupees (for 16 pages A4 size) straight away into her purse in front of us. When Zul asked her for the receipt, she said she can't provide us the receipt. What tf! When we asked Pawan about it, he said 40rupees is about 6 times more expensive that the normal price..damn you girl! She mentioned that that day will be her last day working at this hotel, so perhaps that would be her last bonus.. ck ck ck...
Day 7 & 8
Nothing much I can tell except that we were very busy. Meeting with the local architect, the building owner, the pool supplier, the electrician, the vendor for the cafe, and so on. There were few changes for the proposal drawings after we met the local architect. She suggest some of her opinions and I think it quite acceptable. She seems very straight forward regardings the project, I like her :)
I was feeling unwell, a bit fever and some sorethroath. I guess it's because of the weather and the food. The weather is cold so I hadn't much sweaten, while the food are so fattening. So at the afternoon I decided to had some exersice, took some dinner, shower, and some pills then got to sleep. No overnight working hours for tonight, I really need some rest. And really works, I felt fresh in the other morning. Thanks God, otherwise I might not be able to enter Singapore, for the health reason. They quite particular about this fever thing lately, because of the H1N1 issues.
Day 9 (LAST DAY!!)
Oh No! today is our last day. So sad finally have to leave Bangalore, the cool city. But it's ok, we will back again soon to continue the project. Anyway I really miss mu lovely hubby so much! Each and everyday miss him a lot! Soon we will meet again, just can't wait for that moment.
Today finish all the proposal drawings so Pawan settled the payment and the hotel expenses. Pawan said the drawings submission might take sometimes (about 3 or even 4 weeks) so he suggested that we just go back to Singapore first until the submission is approved, otherwise it will kill us for the expenses here in Bangalore. Me & Zul were thinking to keep moving on with the proposal design while we were at Singapore. I think it's a good idea. Pawan estimated we might have to get back to Bangalore around 27 of August, which is about 2 weeks from now.
So tonight we will be leaving Bangalore at 11 (Bangalore time) and arrive at Singapore Airport at around 4 or 5 am the next day. My hubby will fetch me there. Can't wait to see you baby :-*
It was a very precious experiences for me. Something I will never forget for the rest of my life. We were easily like bestfriends only after 9 days. I guess everything is happen for a reason. And I'm glad that the reasons are all very positive so far.
So I will write something new for the next trip I guess
