My Consideration In Designing Building Facade

One of my architect friends, asked me one question by the ym just now. It's a simple question that I never thought anybody would ask to me. But at the moment he asked me, I was straight away just answered it. I think it's probably because I always really consider about these points whenever I want to design a building facade.

 The question is :

What would be my consideration in designing building facade?

And my answer is :

Proportion, Materials and Function.

My reasons are :

Proportion to make sure that the facade looks nice and still suits the whole concept design of the building.

Materials to make sure that we propose the realistic and doable materials, maintenance and costing.

Function (literally) to make sure that we design something that really usefull for the building, and (corporate) to make sure that the facade still bring the true aim related to the whole building concept.

As per my experiences, after all these points achieved, I would be able to create such a nice building facade, without over its function. :)
